Internet, good morning!
I didn’t have a very good morning. It started out fairly normal. Ty Lee and I got up to play while Mother was still sleeping. Don’t worry – we do it all the time – Mom, doesn’t mind. At least not usually, but today we were playing in the bathroom and TY LEE had the great idea that we should go spelunking in the bathroom cabinet for some of these:
I’m not sure what Mother uses them for, but these things are great, and there are always so many under the sink! Anyway, like I was saying, my sister had the great idea to go exploring under the sink. Mother didn’t seem to think so. First of all, she called to us to stop, but when she says stop we know she’s never serious. So, naturally, we kept playing.
We heard Mom get up, but I didn’t think much of it. Ty Lee, on the other paw, ran. I figured Mom would just pick me up and close the bathroom door, but she came in with one of these:
Internet, do you know how long it takes me to get my coiffure just right? Needless to say, I abandoned all hope and ran from the bathroom yowling and fur looking afright. Ty Lee keeps telling me to stop being so dramatic, but what is life without drama? That aside, how would my Mother know her faults if I didn’t tell her?
I tried my best to look pitiful and I walked around yowling loudly while Ty Lee rolled her eyes and ate breakfast. Mother ignored me, so I set about grooming myself, and I have to say, Internet, I felt a little hurt that Mother didn’t make a bigger deal over me. I was almost ready to go cry in my kitten chow when my Mother sat down on the floor and began talking in her strange language. I might not be able to understand everything she says, but she picked me up and cuddled me and I couldn’t help but start to purr and paw at her face. Her purrer seems to be purr-manently broken, but I could still tell what she meant.
I love you too, Mother.
So spray bottle aside, I think today is going to be all right. I just have to remember next time to let Ty Lee take the rap for our early morning cabinet adventures.
Have a good day, Internet!
